HOPE/LIFETIME LEARNING TAX CREDIT
A student, or the person who claims the student as a dependent, who pays out of pocket for tuition and related expenses excluding insurance and books, may qualify for the Hope credit or the Lifetime Learning credit on the taxpayer's federal tax return. A Tuition Payment Statement (1098-T) is mailed to the student's address on file, if the payment for qualifying expenses exceeds the amount received from scholarships and/or grants for the year.
Students can receive an account summary through the Self Service Banner Online system. Click the Student Tab and Student Account link. Account Summaries by Term and Year are provided here.
