HOUSE POLICIES
DOORS:
The lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to curtain. The house typically opens 30 minutes prior to curtain.
LATECOMERS:
Guests arriving late will be seated at the discretion of management and according to the contractual agreements and requirements of the attraction. The Center makes every attempt to begin each performance on time.
CAMERAS, RECORDING EQUIPMENT, CELLULAR PHONES AND PAGERS:
Cameras and recording equipment are strictly prohibited during copywrighted events. Flash photography is not permitted at anytime for the safety of performers and crew. Cellular phones and pagers should be silenced out of consideration for others.
LOST & FOUND:
You may call 256.549.8325 if you have lost an item.
RESTROOMS:
Restrooms are located in the lobby and in the adjacent classroom wing. All restrooms are handicap accessible.
SMOKING:
Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center is entirely smoke free.
CHILDREN:
We encourage families to enjoy performances together, however we request that children under five do not attend events unless they are specifically produced for children.
PLEASE BE COURTEOUS:
During the performance, talking, coughing, rustling of paper, and noise from digital watches and other devices disturb performers and members of the audience. To ensure guests and performers enjoy shows free of distractions, Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center reserves the right to ask anyone to leave if his or her behavior is disruptive.

From Chattanooga, Tennessee:
Take I-59 South to I-759 in Gadsden. Exit onto I-759 (Interstate 759 will become Alabama Highway 759 before crossing the Coosa River) and follow it until it comes to ends onto George Wallace Drive. Turn right and proceed approximately .1 miles to the first right. The loading dock and the stage entrance are at the back of the building. (Approximate Travel Time: 2 hours 15 minutes)
From Birmingham, Alabama:
Take I-59 North to I-759 in Gadsden. Exit onto I-759 (Interstate 759 will become Alabama Highway 759 before crossing the Coosa River) and follow it until it comes to an end onto George Wallace Drive. Turn right and proceed approximately .1 miles to the first right. The loading dock and the stage entrance are at the back of the building. (Approximate Travel Time: 1 hour)
From Anniston, Alabama:
Take U.S. Highway 431 North to Gadsden. Proceed on U.S. Highway 431/Meighan Boulevard until you come to Hood Avenue/Alabama Highway 291. Turn left here just prior to crossing the Meighan Boulevard/U.S. Highway 431 Coosa River Bridge. Hood Avenue/Alabama Highway 291 changes to George Wallace Drive/Alabama Highway 291 after crossing East Broad Street. Proceed until you pass Interstate-759/Alabama Highway 759, then take the first right. The loading dock and the stage entrance are at the back of the building. (Approximate Travel Time: 35 minutes)
From Atlanta, Georgia:
Take Interstate-20 West from Atlanta to Anniston, Alabama and take the U.S. Highway 431 North Exit. Take U.S. Highway 431 North to Gadsden. Proceed on U.S. Highway 431/Meighan Boulevard until you come to Hood Avenue/Alabama Highway 291. Turn left here just prior to crossing the Meighan Boulevard/U.S. Highway 431 Coosa River Bridge. Parking:
Parking is available for a limited number of guests immediately surrounding the building. For high profile events, please arrive to the campus at least 30 minutes prior to curtain to give yourself time to locate a parking space. Please secure all valuables and lock car when parked on campus. GSCC may not be held responsible for items and property on the campus.

What is the appropriate dress to wear to a performance?
When attending events most guests opt for casual attire such as slacks or a skirt. Occasionally some choose to wear suits or other eveningwear depending on the time of day and show they’re attending.
Is there an entrance to drop off passengers?
Guests may be dropped off directly in front of the lobby facing George Wallace Drive.
What are some downtown eating establishments?
Please refer to our Dining & Nightlife page for a listing of downtown eating establishments.
What is the inclement weather policy?
Events that are cancelled due to severe weather will be rescheduled if the promoter decides to do so. Promoters will honor tickets for the original performance date at the rescheduled date.
Is there food or drink available in the Center?
Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center offers concessions are several large events throughout the year but most events do not have concession service. Vending machines are not accessible during events. All food and drinks are prohibited excluding bottled water. Please call 256-549-8475 to find out which events will have concession services.
When do shows go on sale?
All ticketing for Wallace Hall events is handled by that event's promoter. Please call the number provided on the event calendar listed for more details on ticket availability.

Where do we enter the building?
Guests should enter through the main entrance facing George Wallace Drive. Typically during inclement weather, the West and North classroom wing entrances which lead to the lobby will be opened.
Is there accessible seating and parking available?
Accessible seating is available on the orchestra seating level only. Due to limited accessible seating, it is the policy of the Center that only one attendant may accompany the guest requiring seating in the designated, accessible area. Other members of that party may sit in an adjacent area depending on availability. The entrance to the Center is completely handicapped accessible. If you need assistance entering and exiting the facility, please call 256-549-8475 in advance to arrange for this service.
How high is the balcony from the ground floor?
Our balcony is 26 feet from the ground floor at its lowest point and 49 feet from the ground floor at its highest point.
How far is the farthest seat away from the stage?
The farthest seat from the stage is only 96 feet away.
What is the capacity of the Center?
The Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center auditorium has a maximum capicity of 1,205 persons

What time should we arrive?
The doors typically open one hour prior to all performances. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to curtain.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is not allowed inside any part of the facility.
What can’t we bring inside Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center?
Only bottled water is permitted inside the auditorium. No recording equipment is permitted in the auditorium without permission of the Stage Manager. Flash photography is strictly prohibited.
