Become more involved with the success of the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center! We have opportunities for both students and members of the community to volunteer.

How we select volunteers
We accept volunteer applications at all times and review them at the beginning of each semester (August and January). We select volunteers in the order in which receive application, seniority, and quality of previous volunteer work.

Who Can Be a Volunteer?

We want volunteers who are:

  • friendly, outgoing, and that enjoy working with people,
  • willing to commit to at least ten (10) performances
  • interested in the work of the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center, and
  • at least 18 years of age.

What Do Volunteers Do?

Volunteers work primarily during performances, serving as greeters, ticket-takers, ushers and concession stand attendants.

Volunteers arrive one hour and fifteen minutes before the performance start time.

Volunteers may choose their own performances. Assignments for the entire season are given on a first-come first-served basis in the late summer.

What Are the Benefits of Volunteering at the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center?

While on duty volunteers are able to watch the performance for free. Seating is typically available but not guaranteed.

Volunteers also earn 'Ticket Points' which may be redeemable for free tickets for certain performances. Also, volunteers may donate their Ticket Points for tickets to our Arts Access Ticket Project which provides free admission to low income children and their families.
