Veterans Upward Bound events at Gadsden State
Gadsden State’s Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program will host Open House events from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 10 at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden and Jan. 11 at the Ayers Campus Learning Resource Center in Anniston.
Tech Tuesday Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Learn how to use iPad/iPod Touch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 24 at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus. The workshop is free to eligible military veterans and will offer assistance in learning to use the latest technology devices. Please call 256-549-8204 to register.

Therapeutic Massage Program clinics begin Jan. 10
Appointments may be scheduled for Monday through Thursday with morning appointments at 8:30 or 10 a.m. and afternoon appointments at noon and 1:30 p.m. Please call 256-549-8326 in advance to schedule an appointment or leave a message with your contact information so that your appointment may be confirmed. Gift certificates for hourly massages are also available. Discounts are offered for current students and faculty. GSCC faculty, staff and students helping those in need
Community supporters, faculty, staff and students of Gadsden State Community College are encouraged to continue their support of area shelters, mission centers and GSCC students by donating new or mildly-used coats and jackets for children and adults. The annual drive, sponsored by the Electrical Technology Department, began in November and thus far the group has collected more than 250 coats. The drive will continue through Jan. 15 as the College resumes normal operations Jan. 3.
Items may be dropped off at the East Broad Campus’ Electrical Technology Department building (Deb Reynolds) or ATN-Gadsden/Bevill Center (Angela Ross), Ayers Campus Electrical Technology Department (Tony Thrower), Valley Street Campus (Frances Hall), Maintenance Building/Wallace Drive Campus (Kathy Kendrick), Gadsden State Cherokee (Luanne Hayes) and the GSCC Bookstore on the Wallace Drive Campus.
