In addition to the Financial Aid Programs, students may be able to obtain assistance in the form of scholarships granted on the basis of academic or technical achievement, participation in extracurricular and leadership activities, and exhibited talents of the fine arts or athletic ability.

To submit a scholarship application, download one of the application forms below.  The completed application may be emailed (, faxed (256-549-8450), mailed (P.O. Box 227, Gadsden, AL 35902), or delivered to the Scholarship Office located in the Financial Aid Department at the One Stop Center on the East Broad Campus.


Completion of the FAFSA is recommended for all students applying for scholarship assistance.  This free application is available at  The Gadsden State school code is 001017.

If you are a current high school student, you can use the application link above or copies of the applications should also be available from your local high school counselor.  Please keep in mind the deadline for this is March 1, 2016.  The application must be received in the GSCC Scholarship Office or postmarked by March 1, 2016.  Based on this strict deadline, please plan ahead and allow time to, not only complete the application, but to also submit ACT scores and essays when applicable.  Remember the high school counselor will need time to document and verify information as well.  If you miss this deadline, you may apply for other scholarships using the General Student Scholarship Application once you are a student at Gadsden State.



Transcript Information:


When submitting your transcript through either traditional means or through it is the student’s responsibility to make sure the transcript has been sent to the Scholarship Office.  This transcript must reflect grades earned from 9th grade through the first semester of 12th grade and must be a separate transcript from the Admissions transcript sent to Gadsden State Community College.  An incomplete transcript makes an incomplete scholarship application which cannot be considered by the Scholarship Committee.
