New checkpoint for East Broad Campus
The Gadsden State Community College Safety and Security Office has announced the relocation of the entrance and exit for the East Broad Campus.
Beginning Oct. 23, faculty, staff, students and visitors will enter at the traffic light on Wallace Drive and Cardinal Drive. The new checkpoint will be on Cardinal Drive.
The new exit will be off of Brown Avenue onto Padenreich Avenue.
As a reminder, everyone entering a Gadsden State campus must have their temperature checked by security officers from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Officers scan people’s temperature as they remain in their personal vehicles. Entrances for other campuses include:
- Wallace Drive Campus: Entrance is the traffic light at Cardinal Drive and Wallace Drive. The temperature checkpoint is located in the median between the first and second lane into the Wallace Hall parking lot.
- Ayers Campus: Entrance is at the main campus entrance by the Learning Resource Center. The checkpoint is located before the intersection leading to the Cheaha Center.
- Gadsden State Cherokee: Entrance is the first entrance before the arena. The station is located at the beginning of the educational building parking lot.
The Valley Street Campus visitors must check their temperature at testing stations located at the entrance of each building.
