Steps for WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) benefit approval and posting of funds:
- Dislocated worker is to file for unemployment benefits online
- Dislocated worker is to visit and/or call their area Career Center to schedule testing and session
- Dislocated worker completes testing and paperwork with Career Center

- Begin the WIOA benefits approval process
- Visit the FAFSA website and complete the 2026-27 FAFSA with 2024 tax information (for the 2026-27 Academic Year) or complete the 2027-2028 FAFSA with 2025 tax information, (for the 2027-28 Academic Year) and enter the Gadsden State Community College federal school code: 001017.
- Apply for college admission online at GadsdenState.edu
- Speak to an Enrollment Specialist
