Cardinal athletes named to academic honor roll
Gadsden, Ala.— Several Cardinal athletes were named to the Alabama Community College Conference Fall 2020 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll by achieving a 3.00 GPA or higher.
Student-athletes named to the Honor Roll include Bliss Brown, Tamara Garner, Joanie Lang, Cameron Lovell, Maegan Milligan, Madalyn Owen, Leighanna Tralongo, Gracie West and Sloan White, all from women’s volleyball; Corien Frazier, Sloan Phillips and Clifton Smith, all from men’s basketball; Daigeona Guinn, Brittany Rivera, Grace Walters, Chloe Womack, Maggie Woodall and Marie Woodall, all from women’s basketball and Landon Macoy, Jac Myrick and Taylor Walls, all from men’s tennis.
“It’s very rewarding, year after to year, to see our student-athletes continue to excel academically,” said Mike Cancilla, athletic director. “This year has presented many challenges and these students have stepped up to meet the challenge. We are very proud of all of our athletes and their coaches who play an important part in the success of the student and the athlete.”
