Gadsden State offers painting classes to the public

The Continuing Education Department at Gadsden State Community College has a series of painting classes open to the public. All classes are 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium on the East Broad Campus. All supplies are provided.

The first class is March 9. Participants will paint a 10x20 gnome bunny. Cost is $40 for the 10x20 art. The second class is scheduled for March 16. Participants will paint a two-piece laser cut wooden door hanger that features flowers, gardening boots and “Welcome Spring.” The cost is $60. The third class is March 23. Participants will paint an 8x10 cardinal, Gadsden State’s mascot. The cost is $35. The final class is March 25. It’s open to couples, who will create a conjoined 11x14 piece of art. The cost is $75 per couple.

Participants will be socially distanced, and masks are required.
