Gadsden State Ayers Campus to host Truck or Treat event for students, public

Anniston, Ala. — Gadsden State Community College’s Ayers Campus is hosting Candy with the Cardinals, an event for students, faculty, staff and community members, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 25. The event is free and open to the public. It will be held on the campus located at 1801 Coleman Road.

“We have not had a big community event on our campus since the onset of COVID-19 in 2020,” said Gerri Langley, campus director. “We are so excited to have our students, their families, our alumni and community supporters back on the Ayers Campus to have some fun.”

Candy with the Cardinals will include Trunk or Treating for children as well as games and face painting. The Cardinal Foundation, Gadsden State Alumni Association and other college organizations will participate by providing activities and parties. A costume contest for Gadsden State students will take place and will include prizes. The contest is open to students only and requires a Gadsden State student ID. Information about Gadsden State’s admissions process and programs will also be available.

“Learn more about the programs that we have that can be completed in two years or less and result in a career that could change your life. Candy with the Cardinals is sure to be a good time,” she said. “We encourage everyone to come to our campus and see what we have to offer while having fun.”
