Workshops available for those interested in Career Technical Programs

Gadsden, Ala. — Prospective students interested in a technical career have the opportunity to learn more about programs available at Gadsden State Community College.

The event is called “Next Day, Next Step,” and it’s designed to assist students in selecting a career path that is right for them. The workshops will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 in the Cheaha Career Center Lecture Hall on the Ayers Campus in Anniston and April 24 in the Bevill Center Lecture Hall on the East Broad Campus in Gadsden.

During the “drop-in” events, students can meet instructors and advisors, take a tour and register for classes. Current Gadsden State students as well as those considering the College are invited to attend. Gadsden State’s Career Technical Programs include Automotive Collision Repair; Automotive Services Technology; Construction Technology; Diesel Mechanics; Salon and Spa Management; Welding Technology; Air Conditioning and Refrigeration; Automotive Manufacturing Technology; Civil Engineering Technology; Engineering Design Technology; Electronic Engineering Technology; Electrical Technology; Industrial Automation Technology; Mechanical Design Technology; Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation; Precision Machining; Court Reporting Technology and the Alabama Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education Industrial Automation Technology Program.
