Gadsden State hosts 'Operation We Remember' to address Veteran suicide and mental health
GADSDEN, Ala. – Gadsden State Community College launches "Operation We Remember," a two-day event during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month aimed at raising awareness of Veteran suicide while fostering conversations on the challenges Veterans face. It's all happening this week, and the public is invited to take part.
"When our Veterans come home, they often carry unseen scars that weigh heavily on their hearts," said Dean of Special Projects Pamela Johnson. "This event is our way of not only remembering those who were overcome by their pain, but also offering a lifeline to others, reminding them there’s always someone ready to stand with them."
Day One – Tuesday, September 10

- 1001 George Wallace Drive, Gadsden, AL
- 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Day Two – Wednesday, September 11
