Transfer Fairs in October
GADSDEN, ALA. -- Gadsden State Community College’s Advising and Retention Center is hosting a pair of Transfer Fairs for its students in October during National Transfer Student Week: Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Allen Hall on the Wallace Drive Campus and Thursday, Oct. 24 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Cheaha Center on the Ayers campus.
Gadsden State students can visit with transfer specialists from multiple four-year colleges and universities in one location, learning about the transfer process, degree programs, scholarship opportunities, financial aid, housing, student life, and more, at each institution.
“Gadsden State has students successfully transfer to four-year colleges and universities each year. These fairs provide a great opportunity to learn about various options available to them upon leaving Gadsden State,” said Dr. Dana Davis, director of the ARC. “Students interested in pursuing an additional degree after completing a technical or health science program are also invited to attend.”
According to the Alabama Community College System, between Fall 2013 and Summer 2023, more than 75 percent of transfer students from an Alabama community college ultimately earned a bachelor or a master’s degree.
