Gadsden State Cherokee Launches Annual Play-Doh Drive to Support Children’s Advocacy Center

Cherokee County, Ala. — Gadsden State Community College’s Cherokee Campus will host its annual supply drive throughout the month of April to support the Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center, with this year’s effort focused on collecting Play-Doh.

Community members, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to donate assorted colors of Play-Doh in both mini and standard containers. All donations will directly benefit the Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides critical services to children and families in the Cherokee County community.

The Play-Doh drive supports the center’s mission by helping create a safe, welcoming and comforting environment for children during difficult situations. Items like Play-Doh are often used to help children feel at ease, express themselves and engage during visits.

Donations will be accepted throughout April at the designated drop-off location in the Academic Building on the Gadsden State Cherokee Campus.

Gadsden State encourages the community to participate in the Play-Doh drive and help support the important work of the Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center as it serves local children and families.
