Gadsden State to host Graduation Fair 2019

Gadsden State Community College is hosting a student success workshop to provide an opportunity for college freshmen and sophomores to explore graduation from Gadsden State.

Graduation Fair 2019 will be March 5 in the Inzer Student Center Breezeway on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden and March 7 at the Ayers Campus Student Center in Anniston.  Both sessions are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“At Gadsden State we are making every effort to encourage our students to finish what they have started,” said Cindy Greer, academic advisor and counselor at Gadsden State.  “These events will bring together, in one location, multiple college resources related to retention and graduation.  We want to afford them every opportunity to be successful upon graduation, completion of a certificate program, transferring to a four-year university or entering the workforce.”

At the fairs, students will be able to review their progress with an advisor, apply to graduate (if requirements have been met), meet with Career Services staff to begin a job search, learn about the Alumni Association and order special honor society stoles and tassels.  Refreshments will be provided by Barnes & Noble campus bookstore while students shop for graduation apparel and supplies.

Presenters of the workshops are staff members of the Gadsden State Advisement Resource Center, Career Services and Student Support Services.
