Gadsden State to host Race to ACE Drive-Thru 2020
High school students in their sophomore, junior or senior year are invited to attend one of three upcoming Race to ACE Drive-Thru at Gadsden State Community College. The events will be from 9 to 11 a.m. June 17 at the Ayers Campus in Anniston, Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden and Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre.
Race to ACE Drive-Thru focuses on the ACE Institute, the College’s dual enrollment program that permits eligible high school students to enroll in college courses concurrently with high school classes. Students earn college and high school credit simultaneously.
At Race to ACE Drive-Thru, students will be coached through a three-step process to enroll in the ACE Institute. Students will be assisted through admissions and, if applicable, a scholarship application.
“Race to ACE Drive-Thru is designed for prospective dual enrollment students who need more information about the program during this restrictive time,” said Tonya Douthitt, coordinator of Enrollment Services. “The Gadsden State enrollment specialists will follow Gadsden State’s pandemic procedures, so our new students are ready to safely stay on track to start and finish the ACE Institute. There are so many educational opportunities at Gadsden State and we will not stop until students have a full understanding of what is available to them.”
